# Keyboard shortcuts

These are the app bindings. Monaco and the terminal keep their own editor and shell keys. The in-app list is Settings > General, Keyboard shortcuts. How to use the palette: [Shortcuts and the command palette](/using/shortcuts-and-the-command-palette).

## App

| Cmd+N | Ctrl+N | Open Home (New Agent) | Ignored in an input, textarea, contenteditable, Monaco, or xterm |

| Cmd+Shift+B | Ctrl+Shift+B | Toggle the right workbench | Ignored in an input, textarea, contenteditable, Monaco, or xterm |
| Esc | Esc | Leave Settings or the project page (go Home) | Works |

The in-app dialog labels Escape as Leave Settings. The same key also goes Home from a project page.

## Chat input

## Editor tab

These apply when an editor tab is the active workbench tab.

| Cmd+Shift+H | Ctrl+Shift+H | Open Find and replace with replace expanded |

## Command palette

Cmd/Ctrl+K (or sidebar Search) opens the palette. It lists New Agent, Open Settings, Open Terminal, Open Editor, projects, chats, pinned chats, and every personal Settings section: General, Graphs, MCP, Providers, Models, LSP, Permissions, Plans, Skills, Agents, Rules.
